Blogmas Day 8; Gift Wrapping Essentials

Tis’ the season to wrap all presents beautifully and with love. When we wrap our presents for friends and family we are very particular about how we do it. So we thought we would share with you our essentials when wrapping presents.

Firstly, as you may or may not have noticed from the picture, everything has to correspond with each other color wise. If the wrapping paper is mainly blue the ribbon must be blue. This year we have gone for a red as its just a simple color you can’t go wrong with because practically all Christmas decor is mainly red. Primark always have such gorgeous Christmas stuff which is also very affordable so we decided to pick up Christmas cards from their with the matching Christmas labels, obviously. We love the pattern on them, they just look so festive and the main color on them is Red so it corresponds with the wrapping paper and ribbon.

In addition to the colour co-ordination and matching labels, cards and wrapping we also decided to pick up a few boxes of individually wrapped candy canes. These are just the cutest things ever! You can put them absolutely anywhere on absolutely anything to make it festive. We plan on wrapping the present with ribbon, after wrapping, and tucking a small candy cane under one of the strands of ribbon. Our ribbon was only £1 as it’s from Tiger, which is a very affordable shop with loads of Christmas stuff out. Doing this adds a bit more of a festive feel and they taste fab! If you like peppermint.

How are you getting on with your gift wrapping?  Are there any essesntials we’ve missed out? Let us know what Blogmas posts you would like to see next. Have a wonderful day!
