Blogmas Day 7; 5 Things, Winter Picks

So as it gets colder outside it’s inevitable for us to then put the temperature higher inside which our skin and hair both struggle with. But to cope with the weather changes we thought we would share with you our top 5 products for the colder months.

In terms of makeup we do tend to wear more in winter on a daily basis, is that just us? But as our skin gets drier in these months we definitely prefer products that leave a dewy finish such as the Nivea Express Hydration Primer. This one is great as it keeps your makeup whilst keeping your skin moisturized and hydrated. The price is also what makes us love this product more as it’s under a fiver. Also sticking within a budget is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, if you haven’t already heard the hype surrounding this, it has a medium coverage, though buildable, and leaves a dewy finish to the skin but those of you who have oily skin may want to avoid this. Although we do love our matte lips come the festive season our lips do become really chapped so our staple is the Nivea Essential Lip Balm, you could say it’s just your standard lip balm but we find this to be super hydrating and doesn’t create horrible layer on top of your lips which some lip balms tend to do.

For our hair type which as naturally curly girls, is quite dry anyways, we also like to use a deep conditioner that stops our hair from looking frizzy. One limited edition one for winter is the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Winter Remedy Treatment. This has the same formula as the Miracle Shine so basically does the same thing but we couldn’t help but pick up the winter edition as it just adds a bit of festivity in the bathroom. Don’t judge us. Sticking with the more pampering feel we thought we would add a face mask in our top 5 picks. And where better to pick up a face mask than Lush? (nowhere) The one we love is the Cup O Coffee Face Mask, if you haven’t tried we would definitely recommend giving it a whiff next time you pass a Lush store and if the scent doesn’t entice you we don’t know what will. It has a very strong smell of coffee which definitely stops your skin from looking dull and is also very exfoliating but unlike the other Lush masks, this one doesn’t need to be kept in the fridge which is another added bonus, because no one wants to catch a cold from using a face mask.

These are our top 5, but we would love to know, what’s in yours?

Love Curls & S x
