So, it’s almost August, the season where many of us find ourselves travelling around the world going on holidays. Whilst the journey is a lot of fun, the packing most definitely isn’t. To ease the burden of packing we’re sharing what we would take in a travel makeup bag.
In any makeup bag something which we think would quicken your mornings is taking only one foundation and primer, so instead of taking two or three foundations or primers just take one. That way you won’t have to make decisions and you just have the one to put on. The primer we have chosen is the Maybelline Baby Skin anti fatigue blur. On holidays especially this is great for matti dying and minimising the appearance of pores. Instead of foundation we opted for a BB Cream because you wpuldnt want that full, heavy coverage on holiday also a BB cream is quick and easy. We decided on the Rimmel Radiance BB cream, if you want to know about this BB Cream in more detail we have included it in another blogpost Best of BB creams. However, if you do still want a bit more coverage we narrowed down to two concealers, one for underwear and another for blemishes. The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in 1 is a few shades lighter which Is perfect for undereyes and the Mac pro longwear concealer is very good on blemishes and both of these last all day which is perfect when on holiday. Also to add a bit of luminosity, instead of taking a powder highlighter we went for the Loreal Lumi Magique highlighter as it is much quicker to apply as you just twist the bottom and sweep it where you want it.
For blush, a very natural shade to go for is the Clinique blush in the shade 05 Plum Fabulous. It also comes with a brush which is very handy as you are able to save space on brushes. Also, for bronzer the Barry M chisel cheeks is an amazing product as there is a highlight, bronzer and contour shade which is much more compact than taking three seperate powders for undereyes, brozer and contour. Then to set it all in place a pressed powder is the best bet as you know it wont spill and make mess and it also makes it easier to touch up on the go. The Maybelline Superstay 24 hour powder is the one we chose because it will last all day so you won’t have to keep touching up.
Lastly, for lip options we narrowed it down to four different products. The Rimmel lip pencil in Spice, which is good for the long days where you can’t keep touching up. The Barry M Matte Me Up in the shade Dress Rehearsal which also lasts a long time and is great to wear over the Rimmel Spice lip liner. Also a gloss in a nude shade for the days you don’t want a bold lip and prefer a glossy finish. Lastly a product that can be used on the cheeks and lips which is why it goes in our travel makeup bag is the Kiko glow touch cheek and lip tint in the shade 100 intuition peach, which is a great product to use on the cheeks as it looks really natural and adds a glow as well.
We hope this helped you when packing your travel makeup bag! Let us know what you decided to take with you. Also, where is everyone going this summer? We’re spending it on a huge road trip up and down the UK! It might sound boring but when your going with a huge group of friends it really doesn’t matter where you go!
