S’s Haircare Routine

As you all must have realised from my name; Straight, I have straight hair. However naturally it is extremely curly and unlike my sister I prefer the sleek straight look, so to achieve this I will be sharing with you guys what products I have been reaching for. Curls hair care routine on looking after naturally curly will be up very soon if you also want to see this.

For shampoo and conditioner I use the Garnier Ultimate Blends Sleek Restorer which has a gorgeous scent if you like the smell of coconuts, you will love the smell of this. It works very well on my frizzy hair and leaves it soft and smooth, however the scent does not stay in my hair very long which is annoying. I also use a shampoo bar from Lush to thoroughly cleanse my hair, shampoo bars, if you have not heard of them before it is basically a round solid shampoo which lathers amazingly when run under water. It’s a pretty strange concept to begin with but I prefer it much more than a normal shampoo. The one I use is called ‘Honey I Washed My Hair’ and it has their signature ‘Honey I Washed The Kids’ scent which is toffee and honey scented. This shampoo is great for adding moisture and shine to your roots. they claim to last 50-60 washes, I’ve never really counted but it probably does. Lastly in the shower I use the Tresemme Keratin Smooth hair mask. It doesn’t have a scent to it but helps protect my hair from the heat damage of straightening.

After I have towel dried my hair I apply the Tresseme Keratin smooth treatment which works really well I find when I have straightened my it looks mush more sleek due to this product. The KEratin smooth range itself is one I am very fond of as this paired ith the spray just works amazingly. If I do not use all these products I find I need to straighten my hair more often. I then use the Nicky Clarke Straighteners, these straighteners are so good because you are able to adjust the temperature for your preferred look. Lastly, I finish off my hair with the Umberto Gianni Miracle Worker with argan oil. This makes sure that my hair is not frizzy at all and the argan oil in it strengthens my hair whilst still adding shine. I use 2-3 pumps of this to get my preferred outcome however it is all down to your own preference. My go to product for a mid week touch up is always the Shwarzkopf got2b dry oil mist which is so quick and easy to use. I love it for the morning when I am in a rush and do not want to get my hands oily with another serum.

Obviously my haircare routine will vary quite a bit depending on what products I am liking at the moment and if I feel like trying any new products. At the moment this routine works the best or me for straight hair. What products do you use in your haircare routine? Is there anything you would reccomend for frizzy curly hair? Please let me know! I hope you enjoyed this post, have a wonderful day!

Love S x
